AI Credits & Plans
AI Credits are the unit of AI build/edit work in HeroMate. Every time the AI builds or edits your app — whether from your IDE via MCP or in Studio — it spends credits, scaled by the size of the task.
Your apps never go offline
Credits only meter AI building and editing. Your deployed apps stay live regardless of your credit balance — running apps are never gated by credits.
How credits are earned

- Monthly plan credits reset each billing cycle — they don't roll over.
- Purchased top-up packs never expire, and are consumed only after your monthly credits run out.
- Your balance = monthly credits + purchased credits. It's shown in the project sidebar and on the org Credits page, where you can also buy top-up packs (one-time purchases).
Credits also meter Managed AI
Beyond building, credits meter your HeroMate Managed AI usage at runtime (priced as AI Credits / 1M tokens). If you bring your own provider key (BYOK), you pay that provider directly and those tokens don't spend credits. See Managed AI.

HeroMate sells only Free and Pro. (Legacy "Lite" subscribers are grandfathered, but it's no longer offered.)
Where to manage credits
Open the org Credits page to see your current balance, monthly reset date, and any purchased packs — and to buy a top-up pack when you need more headroom. Your remaining balance is also always visible in the project sidebar.
